Is it me or is it so f@#king expensive to eat out nowadays? It doesn't matter where you go too. Across the board, prices of food have skyrocketed. I remember when you could go to Aldi's and get a whole week's worth of groceries for $27. Now, depending on family size, you will spend $150 - $300. Here in Florida, we have a grocery store called Publix. Only rich people can shop here. You go in to buy a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, and a dozen eggs, the total is $45. WTF! Yes, I know! My dumbass shops there all the time so that I don't have to get into a fistfight at Walmart. Walmart will definitely save you some bucks but at what cost. The first thing I will say about Walmart is that their employees don't give a shit and will cut a bitch! "F@#k around and find out!" Then there are no more cashiers. You have to scan and bag up your own shit! Of course, there are also the types of customers that go shopping in Walmart. I've seen everything from a grandma who thinks she's 20 years old to the gentleman in the authentic Wonder Woman outfit. Probably the ultimate location for people watching.
Moving on to McDonald's! Holy shit, Ronald! Why are you doing this to us? We came to you for food because it is so damn expensive to eat healthy. McDouble with extra pickles and onions, $0.99, Caesar Salad at Panera, $25. See why we chose you and sacrificed health. Now a quarter pounder meal with a drink is $20. It's damn near $80 to feed my family. Don't even get me started on Uber Eats or such! You can just add $50 to the total plus tips. F@#king highway robbery! But for real, how did McDonald's get so damn expensive! It ain't even really food! Most of it is made from plastic. That shit doesn't even rot. Check under your car seat. I guarantee you have a french fry from 2 years ago that looks exactly the way it looked out of the deep fryer. Go ahead, check, I'll wait. Now don't get me wrong, I will still stuff my face with McDonald's french fries. I think they have like cocaine or some kind of addictive drug laced in them. Also no one can refuse the McRib sandwich. It is the most delicious fake piece of meat you will ever eat.
Now it gets even worse when you enter a more traditional sit-down type of restaurant. I personally spent a significant amount of money going out to eat with the wife and family. It's very common for me and the wife to go out to eat, have an appetizer, our entrees, and maybe a beer or two. $150! Oh my lord. How do we pay that much for two people? I remember when it was only $50, and that was with everything plus drinks and dessert. Man, if I take my kids too, f@#k, that's easily $200 - $300. Fuck, it's even expensive to take the family to Golden Corral! Buffets used to be where it's at! One low price and endless amounts of food. Now, easily $150. Now the restaurants I eat at range from $ to $$$$. But still, there is no reason a 10oz steak should cost $50. A tomahawk steak will be at least $100 (for only one!). Don't even get me started on Wagyu beef. You've got to be f@#king kidding me! The price of that is insane, and I just refuse to pay $50-$150 per pound of any steak! I'm a lean meat Top Sirloin type of guy. I want meat, not fat or bone.
Public service announcement! If you plan on going on vacation to any of the theme parks in Orlando, take out a loan because it will cost you an arm and a leg to eat in the parks. You will be paying double if not triple the price of food in the theme park compared to eating outside the parks. Most parks will let you bring in food. To be honest, the food is horrible and you will go broke trying to feed your family. Now, I'm not saying to avoid any of the junk food there because most of the treats are amazingly delicious. Recently, I was able to eat in the restaurant in Magic Kingdom called "Be Our Guest" from the Beauty and the Beast movies. It was a great experience and my wife loved it. The food was decent, better than expected, but it came at a cost of $340 for the two of us. Holy moly! You are going to pay a pretty penny to dine with Mickey Mouse. On average, I spend about $300 on every visit and usually only eat lunch in the park. I usually have Chick-fil-A for breakfast and dine at an outside restaurant for dinner. If we ate all the meals in the park, it would probably cost anywhere from $500 to $1,000. This is why it takes years for people to save up money to go to Disney World. Yes, I know the cost of tickets, travel, and hotels is also expensive. That's why I live next to the parks and have an annual pass. Lol!
"The moral of the story is, find a way to make more money so you can continue to eat out, or don't go out at all and cook your own meals. I'm too lazy and just want to go out to eat sometimes. But I'm not too proud to wolf down a bowl of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese with hotdogs."
Its the fůkkin commies… thats why its so expensive. Trying to cut off supply by making it so expensive we cant afford it…
